DeviantART is a great resource for inspiration to designers–not to mention an easy way to literally while away hours at a time. There are tons of talented artists on DA.
This week I thought I’d focus on some styles I particularly enjoy: vintage, retro and art deco photography and art.
Vintage Inspiration
That Vintage Double (~ShandyRp)
Package – Vintage 1 (resurgere)
Vintage Autumn, Red Passion (~lataeralia)
The Vintage Dark Knight (~ninjaink)
Vintage Grunge Brushes (~alex16)
Retro Inspiration
Nausea, Heartburn, Indigestion (~JamesStewart)
Art Deco Inspiration
Art Deco Poster – The New World (~SyRuS-be)
Art Deco Poster – New York (~audoman2607)
Relevant Old Look Poster (~Moretz)
The Future Was Deco (~Ladonite)
DarkShadow Duck (~DeepRed1981)
Art Deco 4 Kimori1024 a (~hermitsrme)
This is just scratching the surface of the great retro/vintage/art deco designs, photographs and art you can find on DeviantART.
Hope you enjoyed. Until next week!

Hi i am very interested in some of your prints but i am currently in Melbourne Australia. Do you deliver to this part of the world?
Your response will be greatly appreciated.
Thankyou

@Justin – The images and photos showcased in this post are from other DeviantART artists.
It should mention if they offer prints on the photo’s page. To find out if they will ship to Australia, it’d be best to contact them individually or leave a comment on their DA profile.
Note: Even if the don’t have prints enabled for a specific image, they may work something out with you personally if you ask.
Thanks for the comment.

hi, i love the art deco stuff above and would dearly love to be able to create similar works, mostly for my own satisfaction. i’ve tried trawling the net for how to’s.. guides and the such like but with no joy except for images others have created. where do i start to learn this style? what program would be most suited to a total novice? any help, be it links or whatever on how to get started would be immensely appreciated. many thanks..
